Ketamine Assisted Therapy

Join the revolution!

Psychotherapy is undergoing another revolution: the fifth-wave of psychotherapy has arrived. With the aid of psychedelic medicines, now you have an opportunity to break through long-standing trauma and mood issues in a matter of sessions rather than struggling for years.

We have therapists who are trained in Psychedelic Assisted Therapy, and now we provide Ketamine Assisted therapy virtually and in-person.

What is Ketamine? How does Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) work?

For decades, ketamine has been a trusted anesthetic for medical purposes. Recently though, its healing properties have extended well beyond physical health treatments to include mental and emotional issues as well. Its psychoactive effects interact with a variety of chemical receptors in the brain to potentially offer relief from depression and other psychological pains – something that traditional medicines are often unable to do effectively! Current research is groundbreakingly revealing how this drug could be revolutionizing modern healthcare; unlocking opportunities never thought possible before now!

How does Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) work?

By incorporating Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), individuals have found a way to break through the daunting walls of depression and mental illness. Through KAP, clinicians may use sedative and psychedelic effects of Ketamine as tools for observing behaviors from an alternate perspective, providing clarity on unhealthy thought patterns that might otherwise go unnoticed. As patients are guided by their therapists after experiencing this new level of self-awareness with medication’s aid, they can gain insight into how to overcome these challenges – leading them down paths towards healing.

What is Psychedelic Assisted Therapy (PAT)?

For thousands of years, cultures around the world have been using psychedelic substances in holistic medicine and spiritual practices. However, research into their potential therapeutic benefits almost came to an abrupt end when they were made illegal in the US during the 1960s. In recent years however, researchers have found that Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy (PAT) has significant potential for treating mental health disorders, such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, and even addiction.

Can I benefit from Psychedelic Assisted Therapy?

Yes, you can benefit from psychedelic assisted therapy. Psychedelic-assisted therapies use a range of substances such as psilocybin, MDMA, and Ketamine to induce altered states of consciousness used to treat a variety of mental health issues. These altered states of consciousness can provide clients with greater insight into their psychological well-being, allowing them to better understand underlying causes and find more effective ways to address behaviors and emotions.

Psychedelic Assisted Therapy for individuals.

Recent scientific studies have shown that the use of psychedelics in combination with psychotherapy can be helpful in treating anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), eating disorders and substance abuse problems.

During the PAT process, a therapist guides the individual through a series of psychedelic experiences that are tailored to their specific needs and goals. But overall, in working with individuals, PAT fosters; 1) creativity, 2) empathy, 3) understanding of one’s self, 4) deeper insights into life’s larger meaning, 5) reductions in symptoms of depression, anxiety, PTSD and addiction, 6) improved quality-of-life ratings, 7) reduction the risk for suicide in high-risk groups, and 8) improved mood in general.

Psychedelic Assisted Therapy for couples.

Psychedelic Assisted Therapy (PAT) for couples is an innovative and holistic approach to couples therapy. Through PAT, couples can explore underlying patterns in their relationship dynamics that may be difficult to identify without psychedelic assistance.

In working with couples, PAT fosters; 1) increased emotional openness, 2) acceptance of difficult feelings, 3) improved communication skills, 4) enhanced creativity for problem-solving,5) accelerated learning about oneself and one’s partner, 6) amplified healing from traumas or psychological wounds, 7) improved forgiveness for one’s self or others involved in the relationship, and 8) increased trust between partners, which in turn encourages 9) greater intimacy and love between them.

Furthermore, it has been proposed that since psychedelics are known to increase empathy towards others as well as help reduce fear-avoidance behavior associated with common mental health issues by helping individuals confront uncomfortable thoughts or feelings instead of avoiding them; this could potentially be beneficial when applied to couple’s therapy because it could help dissolve long-standing negative patterns between spouses that were previously difficult to address.

It is important to note that PAT should not be attempted without the guidance of a qualified professional, who is knowledgeable about psychedelics and trained in working with them safely as part of therapy sessions. Couples Healing Center can provide this space for you though carefully monitored sessions facilitated by highly trained therapists.

What to expect.

Before beginning KAP, your treatment team will assess your physical and mental health background to ensure the therapy is an appropriate approach for you. During this evaluation period, feel free to voice any apprehensions or queries about what lies ahead if approved. Afterward moves on to a preparatory session wherein one can become acquainted with their therapist and gain a better understanding of how exactly it may unfold.

A KAP session is a unique and profound experience that can offer mental clarity, deeper understanding of oneself, and valuable insight into life. Participants will start by taking ketamine – usually noticeable 15 to 20 minutes later – then enter an altered state for the next 30 minutes or so before transitioning back out as effects diminish. A supportive therapist provides guidance during this journey in case there are any moments of confusion, concern or discomfort along the way; afterwards participants have further time with their practitioner to debrief on what they encountered throughout the 3 hour span! It’s a chance not only to recall one’s experiences but also contemplate how these discoveries may be utilized moving forward – truly unlocking doors previously hidden from view while helping forge new paths ahead.
