Sex Therapy
Yes, it might be awkward to talk about sex with a stranger in a therapy session. But without a therapist’s initiation, the sexual problem is usually not talked about in couples therapy. It is because couples find it extremely difficult to talk about sexual issues in a relationship. Partners often avoid being vulnerable with each other in the fear of being judged or rejected.
I can create a safe space for you and your partner to explore sexual issues such as:
- Low libido
- Excessive libido
- Inability to reach orgasm
- Premature ejaculation
- Lack of interest
- Inability to control sexual behavior (addictive and compulsive behaviors)
- Painful intercourse
- Low confidence
- Lack of response to sexual stimulus
- Sexual intimacy after infidelity
- Sexual intimacy after having children
- A paraphilia, or desire that causes a person distress
- Sex addictions and/or compulsive behavior
- Difficulties achieving orgasm.
- Distressing sexual thoughts
- Sexual fetishes
- Sexual traumas
You and your partner will learn:
- How to relax and eliminate distractions
- How to increase or enhance sexual stimulation
- How to communicate in a positive way what you would like
- Nonsexual touching techniques
- Minimizing pain during intercourse
