What is Life Coaching?

A Life Coach can help you…

  • Develop a vision or a purpose for your life or business or both.
  • Create a map of the present and plan for the future.
  • Set and reach meaningful goals.
  • Motivate yourself so you can improve your performance in various aspects of life.
  • Creating solutions with you to get the results you want.

When is a good time to start Life Coaching vs Therapy?

If you have a trauma history that hasn’t been processed, painful relationships, have/recently had life crisis or changes, intense emotions that interfere with your functioning level in daily life, or addictive behavior, it may not be the right time to start working with a Life Coach. Life coaching sessions will be effective only after these major issues have been resolved in therapy. As it would be extremely difficult to take any action when you are struggling to survive or barely coping.

After you take time to process, make meaning, and heal and grow from these experiences you can start life coaching sessions, in which you will focus more on taking actions and getting results.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, a Registered Art Therapist, and a Board Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist. My approach is attachment-based/Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and I am trained in several other modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness. But I customize each treatment based on my clients’ needs. I am currently in the process of getting certified in Sex Therapy and EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy).
